Amazon is hiring for its new location in Scarborough. Please forward this e-mail (with attachments) to your clients and networks.
I am pleased to announce that the job posting for Amazon’s YYZ9 Scarborough location is now open and candidates are now welcome to apply for our new location!
YYZ9 will be located near Markham Road and Steeles Avenue and will be opening this summer. We are hiring over 600 full-time Warehouse Associates, all interested candidates can apply for these positions online on Amazon.Force.com<https://amazon.force.com/JobDetails?reqid=a0R2I000014RfuE>.
There will be NO recruiting staff or hiring events at our YYZ9 location, no walk-ins will be accepted at any part of the process, they must first complete the online application. All applicants scheduled to an Appointment 2 will be emailed the location for their appointment.

This is our newest location and since all our positions are permanent, successful candidates will be eligible for Amazon benefits starting Day 1. Once the ~600 positions are filled we may change our hiring to short-term seasonal positions in the future, depending on business need. Here is the step-by-step process to apply for the Warehouse Associate position:
1. 2. Appointment 1 Invite (Webinar) --> If their application is successful, candidates will receive an e-mail where they can schedule an Appointment 1 for their webinar.
3. Appointment 1 Complete (Virtual) --> Candidates will watch their webinar at home.
4. Appointment 2 Invite --> Once Appointment 1 is completed, they will receive another e-mail where they can schedule for Appointment 2 Office Hours. This is an in-person appointment where they will be provided with a Contingent Offer letter, we will initiate their background check, and take their badge photo and shift preferences.
5. Appointment 2 Complete (In-person) --> Candidates will show up in-person to their Appointment 2 Office Hours at the location specified in their email. Only on-time Appointments will be accepted, NO WALK-Ins.
6. Next steps --> Once we receive clearance of their background check, they will be scheduled for their Day 1, upload their Work Eligibility documents for approval, and will need to complete a virtual orientation/training before their start date.

- Compensation of $14/hour for attending these workshop over 3 weeks (min 60 hours)
- Eligibility to participant in a paid job placement for those that complete the minimum hours
- Supports for barriers to employment they may have
Suitability & Eligibility
Participants must be:
- 15-29 years of old
- Eligible to work in Ontario
- Experiencing barriers to employment
- Currently unemployed and out of full-time school (some exceptions may be considered)
- Good with technology and able to access a computer and internet to do online learning/Zoom meetings. A web camera is not necessary
